This policy explains how HSS (PTY) Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit beforehelparrives.org, download a free resource, buy a Before Help Arrives™ product, or email us. We are the controller of that data.
What we collect, and why

We don't collect the health information you write into the fillable Workbook or Home Emergency Directory. Those files stay on your own device.
We don't receive your full card details. Payments are handled by Gumroad and its payment processors.
Who we share data with (processors)
- Gumroad, Inc. (US): sells and delivers our products as merchant of record, takes payments, and sends our emails. https://gumroad.com/privacy
- Netlify, Inc. (US): hosts our website, beforehelparrives.org, and keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security. https://www.netlify.com/privacy/
- Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel): ad measurement and targeting, only if you consent to marketing cookies. https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
- Namecheap (email forwarding) and Google (our email inbox): to receive and answer your messages.
We never sell your personal data.
International transfers
We are based in Botswana, and our processors are mainly in the United States. Where data protection law requires it (for example, for people in the EU, EEA or UK), transfers rely on the safeguards those processors provide, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually 7 years).
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
- Correspondence: up to 2 years after we last hear from you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the Botswana Data Protection Act 2018 or US state privacy laws), you can ask to:
- access, correct or delete your data;
- object to or restrict our use of it, or take a copy to another service;
- withdraw consent at any time (for emails, use the unsubscribe link).
To use any of these rights, email hello@beforehelparrives.org. We'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (for example the ICO in the UK, or your national authority in the EU).
Cookies
Our website sets no cookies of its own. When you open checkout, Gumroad uses cookies that are essential for payment. The Meta Pixel loads only if you choose "Accept" in our cookie banner, and then uses cookies to measure our ads. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.
Children
Our products are for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be emailed to customers.
